Program Description
INFRA awards competitive grants for multimodal freight and highway projects of national or regional significance to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the movement of freight and people.
Eligible Uses
Projects that improve safety, generate economic benefits, reduce congestion, enhance resiliency, and hold the greatest promise to eliminate freight bottlenecks and improve critical freight movements.

Federal Cost Share Requirement
50 percent Federal/50 percent non-Federal. For grants awarded under the pilot program, an eligible applicant may not use Federal assistance to satisfy the non-Federal share of the cost, except funds from a secured loan may be used to satisfy the non-Federal share if the loan is repayable from non-Federal funds
