Program Description
The Statewide planning and research program is a source of Federal financial assistance to the States to meet the planning requirements of the joint Federal Transit Administration and Federal Highway Administration planning regulations for Statewide transportation planning.
Eligible Uses
The Statewide planning and research program funds can be used for comprehensive planning, engineering, design, and evaluation of public transportation projects and studies involving modes other than transit when performed as part of the metropolitan transportation planning process.
